the communal areas and rooms are super nice and there are amazin views from the swimming area and garden. it’s really quiet and chill at night which was perf for my solo getaway. the reception team was hella helpful and the housekeeping did a great job keeping everything clean. breakfast was decent, especially with not many guests around, so it felt less crowded.
the hotel could definitely use some updating, like the furniture and some facilities. also, it was a bit tricky to walk into the town since there were no proper pedestrian areas and the hills are steep.

Stunning views from the balcony truly enhance the experience, and the breakfast buffet was a delightful surprise with an impressive range of options. The friendly staff consistently made every moment enjoyable, and the garden is a tranquil haven for relaxation. Just keep in mind potential wait times for meals.

Breathtaking views and chill vibes in Funchal 🌄🌊
Loved the killer views from the terrace and the lekker indoor pool area – perfect for paz-ing out after a day of exploring. Brekkie had a decent spread with fresh fruit and eggs cooked to order, proper start to the day! The staff were super friendly and made me feel at home.
Walking into Funchal is a bit of a mission with those steep hills and narrow roads, had to taxi back most times.

Chur, the views from the balcony were absolutely stunning! But honestly, the breakfast was a bit lackluster with limited hot options and slow toasters.

The panoramic views from the balcony in my second-floor room were breathtaking, stretching over the city and the Atlantic. The charm of the gardens surrounding the property provided a peaceful escape, and the pool areas are positioned perfectly to catch sunlight from morning till dusk.
Comfort in the rooms left something to be desired. the beds felt too firm for my liking, which made it a struggle to get a good night’s sleep. The breakfast selection was limited, with the hot items lacking consistent quality, and the toasters were painfully slow. While the interior touts a classic style, the decor shows signs of wear and could use a refresh. I found the lack of tea and coffee facilities in the room a bit inconvenient, especially when you're winding down after a long day. Getting to Funchal involves a short taxi ride due to the hotel's hilly location, which might not be ideal for everyone.
